InterBase and FireBird Data Access Component (IBDAC) is a component library that provides local connectivity to InterBase and Firebird from Delphi and C++Builder (including Community Edition), as well as Lazarus (and Free Pascal) on Windows, Linux, and macOS, IOS and Android (for 32-bit and 64-bit platforms). IBDAC based applications directly connect to servers using InterBase clients.

IBDAC completely replaces the standard InterBase connectivity solution. It provides an effective alternative to the InterBase Express component, Borland Database Engine (BDE), and standard dbExpress driver for accessing InterBase.
